GOKYO - CHOLA PASS WITH EVEREST BASE CAMP (EBC) - 17 DAYS
Gokyo Cho La Pass Everest Base Camp Trek is the adventurous trek into the Everest/ Khumbu region which combines the Everest base camp with the Gokyo valley and the high chola pass at the elevation of 5420m. This trekking trail offers the stunning views of many Himalayan giants like Mt. Everest (8848m.), Lhotse, Makalu, Amadablam, Kanchenjunga, Nuptse, Mt. Pumori and many more. The natural beauty, rich and unique culture of the Sherpa inhabitants, lush forest, walking over the snow, crossing high pass provides the heavenly pleasure to the visitors which will be the lifetime memory. Gokyo valley is the remote Himalayan Valley which offers the view of the mountains, Glaciers, Gokyo Lake etc. The major highlights of this trek are the mountain vistas, Sacred Lakes of Gokyo valley, beautiful River valleys, glaciers, crossing Chola pass etc.
EBC Chola pass - Gokyo Trekking trip commences with a scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. From Lukla you start our trekking following the Dudh Koshi River valley. You pass through the lush forest of rhododendron and pine, Dudh Koshi valley, Sagarmatha national park, high passes, waterfalls, beautiful Sherpa villages like Phakding, Namche bazaar, Tengboche, Lobuche, Pheriche etc. Sagarmatha national park is the UNESCO listed heritage site where you can find various flora and fauna. The warm greeting and the friendly behavior of the Sherpa people add further pleasure the visitors. In this trek you also hike to Kala Pattar which is the perfect view point to observe the panorama of Mt. Everest as well as Ama Dablam (6856m.), Kantega (6809m.), Kwangde (6194m.), Mt. Nuptse (7879m.), Mt. Lhotse (8511m.).

Day 01: Kathmandu (1337m).Arrive received at Tribhuwan International Airport. Welcome with Garland and transfer to hotel by private vehicle. Welcome drink and check in to the hotel. Evening, meet trekking guide and program briefing. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing.
After Breakfast, Kathmandu valley sightseeing; Shri-Pashupatinath Temple, Budhanilkantha Temple, Swaymbhunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Rest of the day prepare for trekking. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Kathmandu - Lukla (2840m) to Phakding (2610m) - 4 hours.
After breakfast transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport. Fly about 35 minutes to Lukla. After lunch at Lukla, luggage setup for porter and start trek to Phakding. Overnight stay at trekkers lodge.
Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m) – 6 hours
Trek start early in the morning after breakfast. Trail leads zigzag path to cross the DudhKoshi River by beautiful suspension bridge. Cross Manjo for Lunch and steeply ascending to Namche Bazar. Overnight stay at trekkers lodge.
Day 05: Namche Bazaar (for acclimatization)Namche Bazar Excursion. Visit Sherpa Museum. Visit Everest View Point and Sagarmatha National Park Museum. Overnight stay at trekkers lodge.
Day 06: Namche Bazar to Phortse Thanga (3680m) - 6 hours
Trek starts early in the morning after breakfast at Namche. The trail after Kumjung valley is zigzag and lonely. One can see mountain goats, Himalayan Thar and many species of Himalaya flora and fauna. Overnight at trekkers lodge.
Day 7: Phortse Thange to Machhermo (4470m) - 7 hours
After breakfast, trek start with a steady climb up to the scenic ridge. The panoramic views of Kangtega and Thamserku entice up to Luza for lunch. Then gentle climb up to the hillside above the river to the settlement at Machhermo. The Himalayan rescue hospital has been established here with the facility of the basic treatment. Overnight stay at trekkers lodge.
Day 08: Machhermo to Gokyo (4790m) 5-6 hours
The trek starts with gentle climb through a ridge Chorten. The views of the pleasing mountains and down valley both are impressive. Following the trail, reach to the riverbed and climb steadily through the moraine of the Ngozumba glacier. Overnight stay at trekkers lodge.
Day 9: Gokyo Lake to Dragnag (4700m) - 3 hours
Very early in the morning start to climb Gokyo –Ri (5360m) about 2.5 hours. Explore the magnificent mountains views including; Cho-Oyu, Pumori, Nuptse, “The Mount Everest”, Lhotse, Makalu, Ama-Dablam, Thamserku, Jasembaand many more mountains peak in panoramic views. Trek down and after breakfast start trek to Dragnag. The trail leads with views of the fine mountains and natural beauty. Dragnag consider as the base of Cho -La Pass. Overnight stay at trekkers lodge.
Day 10: Dragnag– Cho-La (5350m)- Dzongla (4830m)- 7 hours
Very early in the morning start to trek after hot soup and some early breakfast. The first phase of trekking trail leads gently ascending till the bottom of the Cho-La. The second phase of the Cho-La climbing is steady till the top of Cho –La (about 4 hours). The views of Lofty mountains including Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Cho Oyo, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cholaste, Mt. Tawache, Mt. Gyachung Kang and many more are indescribable by worlds. The last phase of the Cho-La is descending till the Dzongla, a small human settlement. Overnight stay at trekkers lodge.
Day 11: Dzongla - Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5140m)- 6 hours
The trekking start after breakfast at Dzongla. Trekking trail leads with astonishing close up views of Tawache and Cholatse. Trek about 2 hour for a couple of hot tea / coffee at Lobuche and continue trek about 3 hours to Gorak Shep. After lunch and short rest at Gorak Shep , start to climb Kala-Patthar about 2.5 hours. Amazing views of SUNSET over the great Himalaya ranges and peaks including; Mt. Everest and many others like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama-Dablam, Mt. Thamserku. Afrer short excursion and Photography, trek down about 1.5 hours to return back to Goprak Shep . Overnight stay at trekkers lodge.
Day 12: Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp (5364m) to Lobuche (4910m)
Trek start after early breakfast. The trekking leads zigzag but gentle ascending path about 3 hours to EBC. Excursion and explore EBC and trek down about 2.5 hours to Gorak Shep. After lunch trek about 2.5 hours to Lobuche for good rest. Overnight stay at trekkers lodge.
Day 13: Lobuche to Tengboche (3930m)- 7 hours
After breakfast start trek to Tengboche crossing Pheriche. Reach Pangboche for Lunch. Reach Tengboche and excursion of Tengboche Monastery and around. Overnight stay at trekkers lodge.
Day 14: Tengboche to Manjo (2835m) – 6 hours
Trek starts after breakfast at Tengboche. Trek downhill and uphill to Namche for Lunch. Continue trek about more 2 hours for Manjo. Overnight stay at trekkers lodge.
Day 15: Manjo to Lukla (2840m) - 5 hours
Trekking starts after breakfast. First phase gentle descend and the second phase after Phakding gentle ascend to Lukla. Reach Lukla for lunch. Overnight stay at trekkers lodges.
Day 16: Lukla to Kathmandu.After breakfast transfer to Lukla Airport. Fly back to Kathmandu. Arrival picks up and transfers to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 17: DepartureAfter breakfast transfer to international.
