 Everest Base Camp Trek begins with an "eye opening" flight to Lukla at 2800 meters and passes through the picturesque Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar to Gorak Shep culminating in the "ascent" of Kala Patthar (5550m) from where classic views of Everest and its surrounding peaks are available. Most of the trek is spent above altitudes of 3000 meters in the Khumbu and Imja valleys. Although this is a short trek, by Nepal standards, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the culture of the Sherpas, visit ancient monasteries and learn how Lamaistic Buddhism influences Sherpa life. Beautiful, multi-hued prayer flags prayer wheels and intricately carved Mani stones line every hilltop, rock wall and trailside chant prayers to the gods with every breeze and every passing traveler.


Day 01: Kathmandu (1337m).
Arrival receive at Tribhuvan International Airport. Welcome with Garland and transfer to hotel. Check into the hotel with welcome drink. In the evening, trekking program briefing. Overnight at a Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing.
After breakfast, start Kathmandu valley sightseeing including: Kathmandu Durbar Square & Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). Afternoon, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Rest of the day is for packing and preparation for trek. Overnight at a Hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu - Lukla (2840m) to Phakding (2610m)- 4 hours.
After breakfast transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport. Fly about 35 minutes to Lukla. After lunch at Lukla, luggage setup for porter and start trek to Phakding. Dinner & overnight at a Trekkers Lodge.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m) – 6 hours.
Trek start early in the morning after breakfast. Trail leads zigzag path to cross the Dhudh Koshi River suspension bridge. Cross Manjo for Lunch and steeply ascending to Namche Bazar. Dinner & overnight at a Trekkers Lodge.

Day 05: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar (3440 m).
Namche Bazar Excursion. Visit Sherpa Museum. Visit Everest View Point and Khumjung Village. Dinner & overnight at a Trekkers Lodge.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3867 m) – 6 hours
Trek starts early in the morning after breakfast at Namche. Magnificent Himalayas views of; Konde, Kusum-Kangaroo, Kang-Teka, Thamserku, Ama-Dablam, Island, Kumbila, Lhotse–Sar, Lhotse, Nuptse, “THE MOUNT EVEREST” Pumori, and Many more peaks of great Himalayas. Visit Tengboche Monastery. Dinner & overnight at a Trekkers Lodge.

Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche (4410 m) –6 hours
Trek through beautiful Alpine and Rhododendron Forest. Encounter endogenous animals and birds including Musk Dear, Blue Sheep and Lophophorus. Meet the real Mountain Sherpa People. Dinner & overnight at a trekkers lodge.

Day 08: Dingboche (4260m)
Day free (rest) for Acclimatization. Climbing Nangkr Tshang Peak (4750m). Visit Chhukung (Island Peak Base Camp/ view Point). Dinner & overnight at a Trekkers Lodge.

Day 09: Dingboche to Lobuche (4910 m) - 6 hours
Trekking route turned into dry and stony Path. View of beautiful and popular Khumbu Fall including close-up view of Mt. Everest. Dinner & overnight at a Trekkers Lodge.

Day 10: Lobuche to Gorakh Shep (5140m) - EBC Excursion
Trek to Gorakh Shep about 4 hours following the rocky moraine path. View icy glacial pond and icebergs, down below of Khumbu Glacier. Pause the trek at Gorakh Shep for Lunch and a short rest. Start trek to Everest Base Camp (5364 m) about 3 hours. Gently ascending with rough zigzag path. Excursion of Everest Base Camp. Trek down to similarly descanting up to Gorakh Shep. Enjoy with hot and delicious dinner. Overnight at a Trekkers Lodge.

Day 11: Gorakh Shep to Pheriche (4240m)- 5 hours
Early in the morning hike to Kala Patthar (5550m) about 2.5 hours. The walk is steeply ascending until you reach a rocky spot Kala Patthar. Panoramic view of Mt. Everest and many other mountain peaks like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama-Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and many more. Excursion and Photography. Return back to Goprakh Shep about 1.5 hours. After breakfast, start trek to Pheriche about 5 hours. Dinner & overnight at a Trekkers Lodge.

Day 12: Pheriche to Namche Bazar (3440m)
Trek about 7 hours to Namche Bazar. Dinner & overnight at a Trekkers Lodge.

Day 13: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2840m)
Trek about 7 hours to Lukla. Dinner & overnight at a Trekkers Lodge.

Day 14: Lukla to Kathmandu.
After breakfast transfer to Lukla Airport. Fly back to Kathmandu. Arrival picks up and transfers to hotel. Overnight at a Trekkers Lodge.

Day 15: Departure.
After breakfast, transfer to international airport for final departure. The trip is over.

However the entire programs of trekking are on the ranges of great mountains.  Therefore, ABC Adventures (P) Ltd shall not be responsible for any changes in the itineraries due to unavoidable circumstance and natural disasters such as landslide, road blockage, flood, snowing, cancellation of flight and delay, any types of sickness including altitude sickness.  Any extra cost including there shall be borne by trekkers themselves.



Full trekking and travel insurance coverage for medicine, rescue evacuation, lost of belongs, and trip cancellation is strongly recommended. We recommend purchasing insurance policy with reliable company which most cover the emergency medical evacuation.
